1. Sign Up
Fill out the registration form and keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll send through the secure link to our online payment system, to finalise your subscription for $55 a month.
No lock-ins! You have the freedom to start, pause, or end your membership at any time.
2. Get “Shed Ready” (aka the OH&S Induction)
Safety is our top priority. Before you start creating, every new member completes a 30 minute induction. This is an essential precursor to working in the shed and we cover workshop guidelines, health and safety, and look at how to get your started on your next project.
When: These inductions run on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Once you receive your welcome email, simply reply to book your preferred time on one of these days.
3. Master the Tools – at your own pace
We know how daunting it can be when you first start out learning how to use power tools and machinery. We want to support you to learn confidently and safely, which is why we use a two tier competency system to help you grow:
Level 1 (The P Plates): Get started with confidence. We introduce you to the tools and best practice so you can begin your projects. At this level, you’ll work with the close support and supervision of our skilled team until you’re ready for the next step.
Level 2 (The Full License): You’re ready to fly solo with those tools!
Don’t worry—you’re never alone in the Workshop
You will never be left unsupervised in the project space- there will always be a skilled experienced supervisor in the project space during opening hours. This is how we support you to feel safe and confident as you acquire skills!
Remember, there is no time frame or pressure on your learning journey. Everyone learns differently and grows at their own pace.
So if you are still feeling unsure or not confident in using these tools, just ask for help, or a quick refresher, or simply someone to stand there for support. That’s what our friendly staff are there for!
