Unlock Your Inner Handyperson: The Power of Community at Women On The Tools

You’ve taken a course, built a project you’re proud of, and felt that powerful “aha!” moment of confidence. But what comes next? For many of our participants, the biggest hurdles to continuing their journey are the cost of tools and the lack of a dedicated space to work on their own projects.

That’s where the Women On The Tools (WOTT) member program comes in. It’s more than just a place to practice your skills; it’s a vibrant, supportive community designed to help you continue your journey long after the course is over.

A Workshop Just for Members

Your WOTT membership gives you access to our fully equipped workshop, a dedicated space just for you. No more waiting for a tool store to open or trying to work in a cramped space at home. Here, you have access to a wide range of tools, machinery, and workbenches. It’s a space where you can:

  • Tackle your own projects: Bring in that passion project you’ve been dreaming of—whether it’s fixing a broken table or building something from scratch.
  • Practice your skills: Perfect the techniques you learned in our courses with hands-on practice.
  • Access expert support: Get technical advice and support from our staff and fellow members.

The Real Magic: A Thriving Community

While the tools are great, the real value lies in the community you become a part of. The WOTT member space is designed to foster a community for idea sharing and mutual support. We’ve seen this firsthand in our members-only WhatsApp group, where members provide invaluable peer-to-peer support, answering questions and sharing their successes. This is a judgment-free zone where you can openly admit what you don’t know and ask those “stupid questions” you might be afraid to ask elsewhere.

You’ll connect with other women at similar stages in their learning journeys, sharing mistakes and lessons learned, and celebrating your collective advancements. It’s a space where you can build friendships, find project partners, and be inspired by what others are creating.

Join the Club!

As a member, you’ll be able to join special interest clubs and exclusive events. These groups are created by our members, for our members, and are a great way to meet like-minded people with a specific passion. For example, some of our members have been working on amazing projects in the workshop, like a caravan camper fit-out and furniture upcycling. These group projects are great for keeping you motivated and connected.

The member program is our way of making sure your journey with tools doesn’t stop after a single course. It’s an investment in your ongoing confidence, skill-building, and most importantly, in a community that will empower and support you every step of the way.

To keep up to date with our member program and the specific projects and clubs that are currently active, follow us on Instagram or Facebook. You can also join us at our next “sundowner” event to see the workshop, meet our team, and chat with our incredible members.
