“JC was a fabulous adult educator. No question was too stupid for her, and she gave great explanations about basic information that other teachers may have assumed we already knew. Sometimes my questions threw her off her topic but she calmly answered and continued with no hint of annoyance. I learnt so much and had a fabulous time.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the ‘Make a Bookshelf’ course last Saturday. Thanks to the lovely teaching style of Renae, I actually managed to make a bookshelf. Renae is a fantastic teacher. Everything is explained in slow, easy to follow steps and Renae is always there to guide and answer questions. The atmosphere is friendly, full of fun, entirely supportive, calm and welcoming. I felt so relaxed and able to proceed at my own pace. I recommend the courses at WOOT to everyone. Just try them. You will surprise yourself.”

– FRANKLIN

“I did a paving course here, it was amazing. I got to use my first power tool ever. It’s a safe environment to ask questions and to learn. I even cut my own brick in half!”

– AMANDA

“Recently went to a bookshelf / intro to carpentry course. Had the best time. Well presented, well paced and I learnt a lot more than just how to use tools. But also feel far more confident to even use powered tools, or handy work around the house. Can’t recommend women on the tools enough! JC and Nina were fantastic instructors and made the whole time a fun and empowering experience. Plus I got a bookshelf at the end, winning 😎!”

– EMILY

“This one day Carpentry course was everything I needed! A wonderful and welcoming environment tailored to women. I learnt so so much not only about tools but also about safety which is so often overlooked. I would love to do more of these and cannot recommend this place and JC enough :)”

– HOLLY

“JC is an amazing teacher. She took the time to explain everything and there truly were no stupid questions. I actually ended up with a solid box that was straight plus lots of new skills to try at home. I highly recommend giving one of these courses a go.”

– FIONA

“I attended the Home Maintenance 101 course here and it was a great session covering a lot of the basics. JC and Renae were very knowledgeable and approachable. I would 100% recommend this for anyone who isn’t sure where to start with tools – I’ll be back for something more advanced in the near future for sure.”

– CAIRO

“I had the best day at the Welding course. The teachers Kitty and JC were very knowledgeable and gave me confidence. I would highly recommend having a go at the skills taught at this venue. Thanks Ladies!”

– KERRY

“I had a totally positive experience with the Metal Fabrication course. Everything provided, time to enjoy what you’re doing, lots of instruction and guidance, and most of all – lots of fun! Lots of laughs! I highly recommend this group. Thankyou JC and Kitty.”

– ALISON

“Had a great morning at WOTT doing the half day Home Maintenance course. I thought I knew tools…turns out there was plenty more to know. It’s a happy place. I’ll be back!”

– LOZ

“I’m pretty handy around the house but, in four hours in a very welcoming and easy-going workshop, I learned some great home maintenance tips from JC that will save me a lot of money. Even more importantly, what I learned is already giving me a great sense of enjoyment and will allow me to do myself so many things I would like to do around my home. I plan to come back for more and only wish I had done this years ago! Thanks JC!”

– MIRIAM

“The Carpentry for Gardeners was the third class that I have done with JC. All the classes have been so much fun and very informative. It has been very satisfying being able to go to a hardware store knowing what I want and need. I will definitely be doing more classes!”
